Welcome to the Graduating Great Kids Website

The Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) and the Fund for Educational Excellence (Fund) thank you for your interest in this ongoing, community wide call-to-action to develop actionable strategies for decreasing Baltimore City’s dropout rates. Every member of the Baltimore community has an important role to play in helping our students graduate from high school ready for college, work and life and we look forward to working together with you to build student success.

You can find information about the recent May 6th Parent Engagement Workgroup at Edmondson-Westside High School, by clicking on the Parent Workgroup Materials tab.  The Workgroup included parents school counselors who shared their ideas and perspectives on on how City Schools can better engage parents to support student attendance and achievement.  This workgroup was supported by The Annie E. Casey Foundation and America's Promise Alliance.

You can also find information about the March 3rd Graduating Great Kids Summit, including speaker bios and copies presentations, by clicking on the Summit Materials tab. The summit was supported by a grant from the America’s Promise Alliance as part of its national effort to spark conversations in all 50 states and 55 urban centers to dramatically reduce dropouts.

As part of this community call-to-action, City Schools has introduced an exciting new way to volunteer time or services to support Baltimore’s great kids. Visit the City Schools' Volunteers, Partners, and Donor information page where you can explore volunteer and partnership opportunities, sign up to volunteer or partner at a school, and make donations to help our schools excel.
